Keep your activities calendar up to date, manage resident participation and print the calendar in easy to read formats

The activity calendar allows you to share everything that is happening in the nursing home to the residents and their relatives. You can see the activities each week, and scroll using the arrows to view past or upcoming weeks.

ADDING EVENTS TO THE CALENDAR

You can easily Add an event and define repeat settings:

For repeated events you can select a custom recurrence setting:

First you select the frequency it repeats every X day/week/month, followed by the days of the week that it repeats on. You can select multiple days at a time. To finish you can select how many times this event will repeat, either a custom select number of X times or "until deleted".

EDITING OR DELETING EVENTS

If you click on any event on the calendar, you access its details and can edit it or delete it:

REPORTING RESIDENT PARTICIPATION AND MOOD ENGAGEMENT

Reporting on resident participation has never been easier with our activities calendar. Simply click on a specific event, or one-on-one, on your calendar and tag resident participation from selecting resident names from the dropdown.

The participation list will automatically update below, where you will be able to select smiley faces to track mood engagement of each resident. The red X can be used to take note of residents that declined to take part.

Using the comment box, you can add comments for specific residents to be included in activity reports.

CREATE MULTIPLE ACTIVITY CALENDARS PER DEPARTMENT/UNIT

If you have multiple units/departments with different activity calendars in each, you can split the calendar based on the unit on Altra. To do this, we need to first enable the setting on Org Settings.

  1. Ensure your unit/department names have been entered correctly under "departments".

  2. Turn on multiple activity calendars per department setting under "Activities Calendar".

  3. When adding events, you now have the option to select the department as well.

On the calendar, you will see tabs "All" alongside your unit/department names when you start adding events to those departments. If you want to print the calendar for a specific unit/department, navigate to that tab and then click generate PDF as normal.

CREATE FAMILY EVENTS AND VIEWING RSVPs

When adding a new event, if you mark it as a "family event", families will receive a notification and can RSVP straight from the invite. You can use this for special events like summer/christmas parties any everything in between!

On the Activity Details page, we can click the Relative Participation tab to view all responses from relatives. Responses will be either Attending, Not Attending or No Response. From this page you can resend invites to those that have not responded yet.

GENERATE DAILY/WEEKLY PDF PRINT OUT

Click on the generate PDF button and select daily or weekly to print the menu as daily print out (each day has its own page) or weekly. Here's an example of the weekly and daily print:
