How do I set up bookable visit slots?
Create an Event — for example, a video call event allowing up to three simultaneous calls, each 30 minutes with a gap between slots, bookable within a set time window and a set number of days ahead.
Can I stop several visits from all starting at the same time?
Yes — turn on Stagger start times so simultaneous slots begin a few minutes apart instead of all at once.
Do all visit bookings need approval?
Only if you turn on Bookings must be validated by a Manager for that event — useful for something like “meet the director,” where a manager gets a notification to approve or reject each request.
Where can a visit be booked from?
By family members from the Altra app, by staff from the Visit page (useful for walk-ins), or by a family member arriving in person using a digital form on a tablet at the entrance.
