The AI Activity Companion automatically generates personalised activities for each resident, drawing on their interests, participation history, and current emotional state. This guide walks you through everything, from setting up resident profiles to saving an activity to the calendar.
Building resident profiles
The quality of the AI's suggestions depends directly on the information recorded in each resident's profile. The richer the profile, the more relevant and tailored the proposed activities will be.
What you can add on the profile page
Interests – music, gardening, cooking, reading, and more.
Life goals – staying socially connected, keeping active, expressing creativity…
Limitations and required adaptations – reduced mobility, cognitive impairment, anxiety, sensory conditions…
Take a moment after each session to jot down an observation about the resident's participation. These notes feed directly into the AI and steadily improve future suggestions.
Generate an activity with the Quick Generator
The Quick Generator is the main tool for creating an activity on demand. It is accessible from the first tab of the AI Companion page.
How to use it
Select one or more residents. Start typing a name in the search field.
Describe the activity you have in mind in the text field. Be as specific as you like: the type of activity, the atmosphere you want to create, any constraints for the session.
Set the parameters with a single click: duration (15, 30, or 60 min), residents' current emotional state (calm, cheerful, tired, anxious…), format (1:1, small group, large group), and goal (sensory, movement, social, emotional…).
Generate the activity. The AI combines your description with the selected resident's profile to produce a tailored activity plan.
How does personalisation work?
When a resident is selected, the AI simultaneously analyses your description, their recorded interests, past participation notes, and any required adaptations. The output takes all of this data into account.
Viewing Today's Suggestions
The Today's Suggestions tab automatically proposes a personalised activity for each resident, no input required.
Each resident receives a suggestion tailored to their profile and recent participation history.
Each card displays the resident's name, an activity title, and a brief explanation of the AI's reasoning. From this view, you can:
Generate the activity – retrieve the full step-by-step guide for this suggestion.
Suggest something else – ask the AI for a different alternative for this resident.
Understanding a generated activity
Regardless of how an activity is generated (Quick Generator or Today's Suggestions), it always follows the same comprehensive structure, designed to make facilitation straightforward.
The activity displays its category, duration, and the parameters retained by the AI:
Why this activity: the AI explains its reasoning, why this activity is suitable for this resident at this particular moment
Therapeutic goals: expected benefit, cognitive, emotional, sensory, or social are listed clearly for the facilitator.
Step-by-step guide: equired materials, recommended timing per phase, and the full activity content (quiz, exercises, prompts…).
Facilitation tips: practical advice for the carer and conversation starters to encourage engagement and reflection.
The breakdown includes materials, timing, and the full content of the session. Answer keys, facilitation advice, and conversation prompts are provided at the end of the activity.
The activity includes profile-based adaptations, a safety section, and a regulatory compliance note.Adaptations and safety: every activity includes adaptation variants for different resident states: fatigue, cognitive impairment, limited mobility, and high anxiety. A dedicated Safety & vigilance section highlights what to watch for during the session.
Compliance note: at the bottom of each activity, a compliance note references the professional guidelines and regulations the activity aligns with.
Saving and scheduling the activity
Once an activity has been generated and validated by the team, different actions are available:
Save the activity: it is stored in "My Content" from the Wellbeing Library.
Print: print your activity in a ready to use format that you can share with your staff or the residents
Add to calendar: you can add it to the Activity Calendar at the desired date and time
A generated activity will remain in the History section - do not forget to save it if you want to easily find it later.
